Hello! My name is Sidney W, owner of Afrodite’s Eden. I started this business in Oct 2022 as a 18 year old in Brooklyn, NY for college. I created AE for women & men that wanted expensive-looking, yet affordable hairstyles in college and high school as a source of income. I made my dorm a safe space to receive quality braids on a budget. My very close friends Alicia & Mister made my very first fliers & helped me put them around campus when I felt I wasn’t ready, which was the biggest blessing of my life. Years of experience and cosmetology school later, I am back home in Baltimore, MD where I am very proud to announce the launch of my website, Afrodite’sEden.com. The goal is to bring back ethics & community in salon culture. Salons are known for being safe spaces for women for many centuries & I plan to preserve the euphoric experience of prioritizing girl/womanhood for centuries to come. I am working hard daily to build this sanctuary & ensure my services provide you with eden🫶🏽 Hope to see you soon! Cancellation Policy

* Payment: All payments are via website or cash. Full payment is received prior to styling for security reasons and includes any additional payment from add-on services. * Deposit: Please book when deposit ready. Deposits Are Non-Refundable unless appointment is cancelled by stylist at any time between booking acceptance and set appointment (No deposit required for Ambassadors). Understand that canceling a set appointment forfeits your deposit. Refusal to comply to day of rescheduling & cancellation policy means you will not be able to rebook until balance is paid. * Length Requirement: Natural hair must be at least 3 inches around the head to book (about the size of your pinky). * Prep: Please arrive to appointments Shampooed & Fully Blowdried (Temporarily while we are working on our shop) * House calls: Travel fee is added to your service under ‘Payment Balance Correction’. Click ‘House Call’ for ALL travel appointments during the booking process. Travel fee will be adjusted to your total after request confirmation based on the location provided. In case of failure to add the travel fee during booking, remaining will be added to your total prior to service, you will be requested to travel to home service location, or appointment will be cancelled. * Squeeze In’s: These appointments are booked within 24h of set appointment and is an additional $25 towards your total which is added onto your service during booking under ‘Payment Balance Correction’. * Content: Photos will be taken at the end of service for Public Portfolio. It is ok to request for your face to not be shown. I do film content with clients/ content creators. Be sure to let me know if you would like to be apart of content creation at the beginning of your service. I do not assume clients are ok with filming. * Guests: If additional people will be at your appointment (max: 1 adult, 1 child), Please Let Me Know using the messages on the contact page. Please include their names and ages for proper accommodation during service. * Late Fee: If you are 15 minutes late With or Without Notice you can choose the $25 Late Fee or Reschedule/ Cancel your appointment. The $25 late fee provides an additional 15 minutes to arrive before your appointment is cancelled and is non-refundable. Refusal to pay late fee prior to servicing results in appointment cancellation & restriction from booking until paid. You may add your balance onto your next service under ‘Payment Balance Correction’. This will be charged at beginning of your appointment. * Day of Reschedule/ Cancellation: Rescheduling the day of your booking requires a secondary deposit (the same as your original deposit) as your original appointment time has passed. Canceling the day of your booking requires a 20% tip of your remaining balance for time wasted in order to rebook. This only applies to day of or day before! No charges for rescheduling or canceling 48 hours prior to set appointment. * Hair provided soon!
